If you were in middle school or high school at any point from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s, and your school had a computer lab, you most likely remember racing to finish whatever assignment you were supposed to do so you could use the rest of the period for free time on the PC. And, in my middle school anyway, one of the most popular ways to spend this free time (for the boys, at least) was playing Worms, a strategy game full of cartoon violence where your worm had to destroy all the other worms using a variety of weapons. This download is for WarMUX (formerly Wormux), a free game based on Worms paying homage to other open source programs.
The game system of WarMUX is the same as the original version, but you have lots of different teams to choose from, most of which are references to other open source programs, like the fox from Firefox, the wildebeest from GNU operating system, the bug from Bugzilla, etc.
The graphics in WarMUX are fun and entertaining with lots of different battle fields: desert islands, in prehistoric times with dinosaurs, sand dunes in the desert, underwater, the wild west, and lots more.
